Products  - Composition of modules

Composition of modules:
The solar cells are placed between two plastic sheets with an interspace of few millimetres. Casting the interspace with a special gel creates a consolidated module compound. We are using Makrolon® or PLEXIGLAS® as plastic materials. Taking solid matter for the upper sheet, the lower sheet can also be a multi-wall sheet because of weight reduction.
To prevent mechanical tension or even breaks of the cell connectors in case of bending the module, we are using patented cell connectors.

Especially the upper sheet but also the gel have to withstand the UV radiation and the alternating temperature for many years, keeping shape and transparency stable. Furthermore, the upper sheet should be abrasion-resistant and shockproof (e.g. against hail). Modern plastic materials, which Sunovation is using, comply very well with these requirements. For twelve years we have the experience that our technology uses the right materials.

There are many variants for the material of the lower sheet which can be selected from the different producer of the plastic materials. Thus, you can select not only different coloures but also a calendered (milky) back side or a radiant coating which appears in different coloures according to angle of view. Also, a background lightning of the modules by light diffusion in the PLEXIGLAS® is thinkable.
