Sustainable growth - Sunovation GmbH
Elsenfeld, 25.01.2010. The products of Sunovation GmbH have developed from being mere niche products to become a highly sought-after brand for all customers in the PV industry.
Sunovation does more than just offer photovoltaic systems for house-owners, companies and free areas of land. Our key competence is in fact in the manufacturing of individual, integrated and design-oriented photovoltaic solutions in plastic for innovative and sophisticated architects, developers, designers, town planners, boat owners and the car industry.
Sunovation GmbH has grown rapidly over the last few years – the flexible, breakproof and lightweight SUNOVATION® modules have been able to convince decision-makers all over the world of their unique properties and versatile areas of application. From A for Alstersonne solar boat, to B for backlit billboards, to W for Weser world-class stadium – the SUNOVATION® modules are no longer just an insider’s tip for innovative and design-oriented applications.
So that we can continue to offer our customers the usual high quality of service and expert advice, four new employees have joined our young and dynamic team as of December. The Sunovation team now comprises 12 people working on the development, production, marketing and implementation of the SUNOVATION® modules. We also have additional production staff for specific projects and skilled craftsmen working as our partners on the installation of PV-systems. We are delighted with this positive development and continue to make every effort to grow sustainably and at a healthy speed.
So that our team can continue to develop freely in future, giving of their best as usual, our office buildings are to be extended at the beginning of 2010. The new extension will be light, friendly and environmentally sound, of course. Leading the way by good example, at the end of 2009 we fitted our building with photovoltaic systems with a total output of 67 kWp. On the roof of our production facilities there is another system with an output of 29 kWp. The production facilities and offices of Sunovation Gmbh are supplied with green energy from an independent electricity supply – the “Elektrizitätswerk Schönau” (Schönau power plant). In comparison with the national average, we thus save 95.46% of CO2-emissions.
We are particularly pleased with our general development towards environmentally sound energy management, because we are committed to securing a world for future generations that offers them the prospect not just of life, but quality of life. That is why we also pledge to take back our products. If one of our modules has done its job, we will take it back and have it recycled in our company group by qualified experts using environmentally sound methods.
Sunovation GmbH is a manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) modules, with close connections to the plastics and solar industries as well as a supplier of photovoltaic complete systems. The company’s core competence is in the production of photovoltaic modules made of cast plastic (SUNOVATION® Technology). This uses modern, high-grade plastics instead of glass. The solar cells are not laminated on to glass as is customary, but cast in a plastic casing. This technology has proven its worth in over thirteen years of use. SUNOVATION® modules are used mainly in architecture, street furniture, and in vehicles such as cars and boats.
