SUNOVATION® Module at the EUREXPO in Lyon
Elsenfeld, 20.3.2009. At the Yandalux GmbH stand at France’s biggest trade fair for solar technology, the SUNOVATION® Module was presented to the public. The trade fair took place in Lyon from 25th to 28th February.
The SUNOVATION® Module was acclaimed as a real innovation at this trade fair, and aroused great interest, especially among architects and building owners. In France the conditions for PV systems that are officially considered to be building-integrated are particularly favourable, although relatively stringent requirements must be met. The SUNOVATION® Module provides an attractive solution, as it is more than “just“ a solar module. It can for example form the roof of a building at the same time.
Let us consider France’s bid to host the 2016 European football championships. France is the favourite and would like to score points for innovative stadiums. The SUNOVATION® Module has many advantages to offer here. This is being demonstrated to great effect at the moment by our current project in Bremen, the construction of the inner ring of the roof of the Weser stadium.
Yandalux are to represent Sunplastics in France, selling the SUNOVATION® Module to fitters and end consumers, as well as carrying out special projects. Yandalux have been active in France for some years and have completed several projects there.
Sunplastics GmbH is a manufacturer of photovoltaic modules, maintaining close links with both the plastics and solar industries. Our core competence lies in the production of photovoltaic modules made of cast plastic (SUNOVATION® technology). Instead of glass, we use modern, high-grade plastics and the solar cells are not, as is usual, laminated on to glass, but encased in gel between plastic plates. This technology has proven itself in 12 years of use. SUNOVATION® Modules are mainly used in architecture, street furniture and in transport, e.g. in cars and on boats.
